The Monstera adansonii as thrives in medium to bright, indirect light. This plant can be brought outdoors when temperatures are above 68 degrees, however, it must be keep out of direct sun as its leaves will burn. However, during the winter months filtered direct morning sun is fine. Make sure to turn your plant every 7-14 days in order to encourage even growth. If your plant stops producing splits in the leaves and stems become leggy, this means it is not getting enough light. If other conditions are acceptable, they can survive like this, however, you will want to move your plant to a brighter location if you want to see it produce more of those gorgeous split-leaves.
Water once the top two inches of soil is dry. This plant prefers a standard well draining potting soil that has been amended with peat.
